Love it!Rob Jacobsen and Annette Marie did it again! Such a great read with action, comedy and some romance too。 Love all the characters。 I can’t wait for the next book!

Okay, trying to figure out how to not spoil this book while saying why I loved it so much。 This book had a scene I truly had wanted to see and I basically screamed when I came to that part of the book。 Annette has truly woven this series into the Codex world and it is amazingly perfect。 Kit is a character I really love and that love has continued。 His perspective is fun and relatable。 Cannot wait for the next book!

Yet another action packed adventure with Kit and Lienna! This story is an entertaining ride from start to finish。 It continues the more serious tone of book three, which is understandable considering the raising stakes。 I loved seeing some of the other beloved Guild Codex characters, and the ending left me excited for the fifth installment。

"Stupid demon。 Let me pet your cat。"This is my favorite line from the book! With all the crazy stuff going on for Lienna and Kit, petting a cat should be low on the list of things to do but there is something special about cats just like Kit said。"Cats must be magical。 It was the only explanation for why, despite the very real danger to my life, I wanted to pet it。" Loving this series and I love the covers to this series especially this one with Lienna and Kit! I loved the other Guild Codex books so much I wasn't sure I had room to love another set of characters in the same world, but I was wrong。 So so wrong。 Each book in this series I love Kit and Lienna more and more。 This book has it all, action and suspense and romantic tension (just a little) and a couple of my fav characters from one of the other series。 It's non-stop action。 They're on the run, but will they survive intact? This series is so good。 Can't wait for the next book。 I loved the other Guild Codex books so much I wasn't sure I had room to love another set of characters in the same world, but I was wrong。 So so wrong。 Each book in this series I love Kit and Lienna more and more。 This book has it all, action and suspense and romantic tension (just a little) and a couple of my fav characters from one of the other series。 It's non-stop action。 They're on the run, but will they survive intact? Kit is lots of fun, as usual, and I especially enjoyed the cameos of Robin and Zylas。 And with the ending of this (and the title of the next one) I'm excited about Darius taking a more central role in Kit and Lienna's fight against their newly-revealed "big bad"。 Kit is lots of fun, as usual, and I especially enjoyed the cameos of Robin and Zylas。 And with the ending of this (and the title of the next one) I'm excited about Darius taking a more central role in Kit and Lienna's fight against their newly-revealed "big bad"。 。。。more

5 Stars。I just adore this series, every single book in the extended Guild Codex is such a delight and the Warped series is always such a fun, action-packed, emotional page turner。 Stolen Sorcery & Other Misadventures absolutely lives up to the incredibly high expectation I have for this series overall, delivering on action from the very first page, brilliant dialogue, great characters, an extension of the world building and an overall progression of the broader plotlines。 Kit's voice is snarky a 5 Stars。I just adore this series, every single book in the extended Guild Codex is such a delight and the Warped series is always such a fun, action-packed, emotional page turner。 Stolen Sorcery & Other Misadventures absolutely lives up to the incredibly high expectation I have for this series overall, delivering on action from the very first page, brilliant dialogue, great characters, an extension of the world building and an overall progression of the broader plotlines。 Kit's voice is snarky and joke-fuelled as usual, which is always such a delight to read, and Lienna provides the perfect balance to their partnership and overall dynamic。 The rest of the gang are all there, including trusty Eggsy。 As the series has grown, I have been constantly in awe of how Annette Marie (and Rob Jacobson in the Warped books!) have woven together all the different series into this huge world, but this book in particular is really an easter eggs delight for long time readers and seeing all the familiar faces so fun。 I also really want to praise how the overall plot of all the books overlaps so wonderfully and continues to build with every installment。 The romance is also a real delight - I always mention the fantastic slow-burn romances in all of these books and I am really enjoying the development of Kit and Lienna's romance。 I am also very excited about the turn of the story in this book and the characters being brought more to the forefront - let's just say it involves a long term favourite character of mine!I only every encourage readers to pick this series up and this is another stellar installment。 I always turn to Annette Marie's books during a reading slump or when I'm feeling like a pick-me-up, fun read and they always deliver。 I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed。 。。。more

I was nervous about trying the Warped series after Robin & Tori's stories, but I *love* them! Kit has so many funny lines, and Leanna gives great threats。 This book continues their story with MPD and the internal corruption issues, with plenty of danger and excitement and a bit of love thrown in; the way they support each other is great to see。 I love Kit's wonderful attitude and confidence in himself, talking about Zak, Wonder Woman and Thor's Hammer。 There's some deep moments thrown in, so I l I was nervous about trying the Warped series after Robin & Tori's stories, but I *love* them! I was super excited to arrive at the release date this morning。 I love Guild Codex, I love Kit, and I was looking forward to some fun and excitement。It delivered! And yet… there’s some Serious Stuff going on in Vancouver and I just cannot imagine her packing up and heading out。 It would have made more sense for them to come up with a “divide and conquer” plan if they needed to be separated。 (hide spoiler)]That said, I’m pretty excited for the next book。 We finally have a glimpse of our major villain, and it’s nicely set up for us to learn more about a recurring-but-still-highly-mysterious character that no one will regret seeing a bit more of。 。。。more

I love all the series in the Guild Codex world, but this one has to be the funniest。 This installment had some great cameos from other series。 Robin and Zylas were my favorites。 There's action up front and throughout the story。 Lienna and Kit are in trouble, and I love how they work under pressure。 And there were times I laughed out loud while reading it。 Great tension throughout, a little bit of romance (such a slow burn!), and Kit being Kit, which is always a joy。I also love how it ends, where I love all the series in the Guild Codex world, but this one has to be the funniest。 This installment had some great cameos from other series。 Robin and Zylas were my favorites。 There's action up front and throughout the story。 Lienna and Kit are in trouble, and I love how they work under pressure。 And there were times I laughed out loud while reading it。 Great tension throughout, a little bit of romance (such a slow burn!), and Kit being Kit, which is always a joy。I also love how it ends, where the series is headed。 All the Guild Codex series can be read in any order, but you need to read each series in order。 If you jump in, you'll be confused。 All the books in this series are great。 Favorite part: (view spoiler)[ Pignigo Montoya。 I was standing in a line and laughed out loud。 Gold (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

Cameos! We finally have Kit meet a certain beloved demon and there is also of course a certain beloved mysteries guild master。 And as predicted, those scenes are fire!I also loved that all the previous installments are coming together in the form of an overarching big bad。 It's genius how the storytelling brings everything together and how the arc as a whole is really building towards an epic showdown。 Be warned though, this book ends on a nice cliffhanger and you'll be itching to find out what happens next。 With that, the wait for September begins。。。As I mentioned in my previous reviews, I highly recommend this series! It has it all, a complex magical world, amazing characters and character development, humor and movie references, fast-paced adventure, nail-biting suspense and swoony, slow-burn romance。 。。。more

I've been thinking it a while, but it really just needs to be said; Annette and Rob are a match made in writing heaven。 I'm wholly convinced that everything either of them touches is gold。 The Guild Codex series has a history of running me through the whole gamut of emotions and throwing me for loop after loop, and this installment is no exception。 What starts off was a typical "closed door" mysterious death investigation quickly devolves into a series of (as the title perfectly puts it) high-st I've been thinking it a while, but it really just needs to be said; Annette and Rob are a match made in writing heaven。 I'm wholly convinced that everything either of them touches is gold。 The Guild Codex series has a history of running me through the whole gamut of emotions and throwing me for loop after loop, and this installment is no exception。 What starts off was a typical "closed door" mysterious death investigation quickly devolves into a series of (as the title perfectly puts it) high-stakes misadventures that our favorite MPD duo must find their way out of; dragging some of our favorite characters from certain other series in this universe along for the chaotic ride。 Kit is the snarky, witty protagonist we've always needed, and I loved seeing how he's starting to develop。 He's challenged here further than he ever has been, and he and Lienna have some really great moments together。 The ending has me chomping at the bit for the next book, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what other shenanigans these two will find themselves in next。 I'm thankful to have received this book in exchange for an honest review! 。。。more

A complex world, great characters, fun, adventure。。。 fully recommended。 。。。more

It's gotten to the point where I kind of just block out the overly excessive Kit-ness。 Sometimes, it feels like too much with the constant jokes and references and whatnot。 This is 100% a personal preference, so I'm trying not to affect my overall enjoyment of the whole series。 I've seen that Kit can be a little dark, and frankly, I know I like that more than the happy-go-lucky guy he always is。 I want to see that development with his character, honestly。 I'm just not on board with the romance in this series。 I don't feel it! I don't like it。 I'm not a fan of Lienna as the love interest。 Is it because it's told from a guys' pov? I'm not sure! It just falls incredibly flat for me。 I'm the type of person who searches up the word 'kiss' in almost every book I start cause I know what I want。 I didn't with this one, and I've been anticipating it for a while now。 I don't want to be a hater, however。 I did like this book, and it's wholly because of how good Annette and Rob are at writing together。 It's full of nonstop action and if I had more brain cells to comprehend the whole guild codex arc, I would be even more amazed at how Annette is still managing to keep her readers on our toes and still coming up with new ways to trip us up。 Things have gotten a lot deeper on Kit's side of the law, and I am thoroughly hooked on it。 Anywayyyyy。 3。5 I think? 。。。more
